The first and last time I remembered seeing Axel since graduation was in an airplane headed to or from the mainland. I knew immediately it was Axel but I didn't know if he remembered me so I didn't say anything. Sometimes I wished I had the courage to say hello. But the first thing I noticed was that he was very happy. He was in all smiles and with a very pretty lady. I thought to myself he was doing well. Also, he surprised me on how well he looked. He turned out to be a good looking young man and carried himself very well. I'm gald to have seen him happy and in good spirits. My condolences to his family.
I remember how Axel was and pretty much blended in with the crowd......He always carried a unique walk and talk.. How he always made us laugh and wonder how he managed to keep a smile on his face....HE WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE ONE OF US...GWHS CLASS OF 1980! MAY GOD BLESS YOU AXEL FOR YOU ARE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS..............
